The 19th episode is out. Some changes in the DVD subs like the things about “before pro-phyloquicera” (incorrect) vs “before phylloxera” (correct) which is actually an “insect” as you can see here, not a “bacteria”, and some other changes that I have already forgotten. Enjoy one of the funniest City Hunter 2 episode.
The 17th episode is out. One important change has been made: as the term “Yamato nadeshiko” is explained in the subtitles, I have decided to change every instance of “a traditional Japanese woman” to “Yamato nadeshiko”. If it be to the contrary, a scene when it’s first mentioned wouldn’t make much sense. In the episode title, however, I have decided to keep it in order to avoid a possible confusion.
PS. I have made a typo in the episode title. Somehow, a space disappeared from between the words “a” and “Traditional”. There will be a version 2 in the full batch.
Today I was just randomly browsing the Internet, when I found a Turkish site with a couple of encodes of the first season of the City Hunter show. Curious about what could it be I have downloaded the first episode. The size 175 MB was very familiar to me, so it was no big surprise when I discovered it was our video with attached Turkish subtitles — English and Czech Subtitles were kept. I didn’t really feel offended as it’s my favourite show, and I am happy when our work is appreciated elsewhere (except for streaming hyenas that I detest the most)… However, the typesetting of Turkish subs was absolutely horrible: ugly fonts, unbelievable captions etc. Really, guys, you should learn more about ASS and Aegisub and get some taste before you let out something like that. Also, if you had contacted us first for cooperation, you wouldn’t be eaten.
